Pool Build
THEPROCESS
1
EXCAVATION
Your backyard will NEVER be the same! This is the most exciting part of the pool build! We finally get to dig a giant hole in your backyard! Warning: It’s MESSY!
2
REBAR
Once we have fully excavated your pool then we come the following day to bend some rebar! This is when the skeleton and the structural element of your project is performed. Our crews are amazing. They bend bar like butter, and they make sure all rebar is properly spaced, and able to pass any inspection. Our rebar is all made in America!
3
PLUMBING
This is where we will dig the ‘runs’ for our plumbing 18”-20” below grade.! But… it’s a mess & it takes a lot of work, but the plumbing is the heartbeat of any pool. Any pool can look good, but can it run well? We make sure all plumbing is pressure tested & up to code on every project.
4
SHOTCRETE
This part of the process is LOUD! We park on the street and need to use a compressor/pump all day so we can shoot the shotcrete at over 4000 PSI. That way the shotcrete can be shot into the empty pool shell, stick, bond, and become a solid concrete shell! After we are done, then you can walk into your pool the next day! The shape is done!
5
TILE & COPING
Now we start to add some color into the backyard. This phase is all done by our masons by hand, So it takes longer than the other phases. Each tile is set with precision! Waterproofing, cutting tile and properly setting grout is so important to any project.
6
DECKING
7
PLASTER
This is a 2-day process. On day 1 we clean out the messy pool shell. ON day 2 we apply the pebble plaster. AND THEN we begin filling it with water! Once it’s full, turn off the hose & then the brushing begins!
8
The Brushing Process
(Homeowner’s Responsibility)
Now that your pool has been filled and the water is under filtration you will be required to brush the plaster surface a minimum of twice a day and run the filter while the water is cloudy to help remove any plaster dust. This process should be done daily until all plaster dust has been filtered out (process takes approximately 15 days).
This will help ensure that your pool surface remains smooth & clean, If you have any questions, please give us a call.
DO NOT SWIM IN YOUR POOL UNTIL IT IS FULL> DO NOT ALLOW PETS ON THE FRESH PLASTER.
